      <![CDATA[I'm missing the point perhaps -- but how on earth is it a bad question to ask a bill's sponsor if he/she has a personal interest in the outcome of the legislation? To my mind, that ought to be question 1 on ANY bill, and any cause for "awkward pause" should be publicly discussed.

      <![CDATA[Betsy you are absolutely correct. We need to let those whiner baby moms who were sent home from maternity wards with the wrong baby pay for their own dna tests and then pay back the millions in hospital malpractice damages for which they sued.

      <![CDATA[With a 27% rate of false positives on paternity actions I think Hardaway is  saving the Court system money defending against paternity fraud actions.<br />
Unfortunate if this is offensive to women, but I doubt many people would approve if we sent other people's babies home with the wrong birth mother.<br />
As a matter of fact hospital maternity services get sued for millions of dollars when that occurs. I don't hear of any mis-attributed fathers receiving anything but child support arrearage charges<br />
Hardaway is brilliant.
