Re: “Naming Neighborhoods: What Do You Call the Communities Along Dickerson Pike?

There are several neighborhood names along Dickerson Pike. From south of the Goodlettsville city limits (where it is intermittently named Main St. and Dickerson Pike), on down to where we get into the Urban Services District, you have several small subdivisions with their own names (like Ridgemont Estates and Ozark Hills), and then you get larger neighborhoods like Dalemere, Bellshire, Skyview/Skyline, etc. Once you pass from the GSD to the USD, there are other neighborhoods such as Hillhurst, Capitol View, Cleveland Park, McFerrin Park, etc., and these areas are generally considered the less desirable parts and shape the negative reputation (often people inaccurately refer to the "Dickerson Pike Area" as these last few neighborhoods specifically).

Re: “Nashville, It is Time to Fix the Eastland/Gallatin Intersection

Actually there's a fairly simple solution that doesn't include razing Rite-Aid. Take a little bit of Kroger's parking lot landscaping to move the intersection a few yards north, and take some of the smaller properties adjacent to Rite Aid, and reconfigure the lot behind it (into two lots of roughly the same number of spaces in total), so the new Eastland runs behind and around the other side of Rite Aid from where it is now.
