Re: “U.S. Rep Jim Cooper, punching bag of hardcore liberals, puts up his dukes in a wide-ranging Scene interview

I really appreciated this interview. It's the kind of reporting I'd like to see more of from the Scene. I guess it helps that I'm proud to call him my Congressman.

Re: “McFerrin Park neighbors throw a weekend event to save East Nashville's historic Roxy Theatre

Mr. Pink, from my limited knowledge of the situation, you are correct. My point is less about the state law and more about transparency. People in the community are being asked to give their time and money to help someone who doesn't pay their taxes. That's a fact that should no longer be swept under the rug.

Re: “Eat, Drink, Visit and Remember the Roxy This Saturday

Mr. Ridley omitted an important fact from his story tracing the history of the Theater. After announcing his redevelopment plans, Robert Solomon failed to pay his taxes and lost The Roxy at the court house. It's surprising to me that the community would support someone that doesn't pay their fair share to support our schools and neighborhoods.
