Re: “Bad News for Lamar: Tea Partiers Vow to Stand United

Some of the people commenting on this, apparently couldn't find a Tea Party meeting, or a copy of the Constitution of the United States of America with a GPS. I suppose I shouldn't be surprised at that.

Many of these same people seem to envision the word "compromise", as having some kind of magic, or holy aura around it. Sorry folks, the word has no such cache'. "Compromise" is a tool. and like any tool, the efficacy of it's use depends on both the character of it's users and the results of it's use.

Like too many in Congress, Lamar has too often used compromise as a tool with which to make his colleagues happy, apparently while not understanding, he does not work for them, he works for the People of the United States. He touts his "conservative ideals", but has a history of casting votes inconsistent with conservative principles: Reverence for and adherence to "The Rule of Law", limited size and scope of Federal Government, and enhanced States' Sovereignty, strong border(and port) control, fiscal efficiency and responsibility, economic freedom, common sense(Such as: Not trying to buy the love, or loyalty of people who want you dead), etc. Notably, he spoke against Obamacare, but merely speaking was not nearly enough. Events such as this make me wonder what conservative ground he ceded to get votes for his (Ooooh! Aaaah!) "Fishing Bill" Is that how the Muslim Brotherhood got US tanks and F-16's?. Clashing with Obama on health care delivery was good, though he never went far enough. Incidentally, I have never heard of Lamar having a terse exchange with the likes of Chuck Schumer, or Harry Reid, whom he presumably sees quite often. Why not?

While Senator Alexander shares his responsibility for letting leftism run amok with a great many people, his fellow "Congress Critters, and the voters of Tennessee are tops on that long list. In light of this, some of us (more than you think.) are wishing Mr. Alexander "Godspeed" in his post-senatorial life. That is of course, if he does not continue to wield undue influence in support of "conservatism unless its important".

The "Tea Party", (if I may, uncharacteristically speak for many,) supports the US Constitution (The Law of This Land) as written. It supports it's alteration only by the means and methods there-in prescribed. There are no other ways, as all else is "usurpation". This allows for neither SCOTUS activism (corruption), nor POTUS fiat or inaction (Also, corruption.). There certainly is no clause for Congressional Bribery, Backslapping, Hand-holding, (or to borrow from the British, "Buggery",) as a basis for altering our defining document.

We need ALL ELECTED REPRESENTATIVES to understand this, and to fight for honesty in our government and our greater society.
