Re: “Tennessee tea partiers say they're going RINO hunting, and U.S. Sen. Lamar Alexander is their target

Kookogey had already sent a private e-mail to Leahy saying that he was not going to run. Kevin has now publicly made that statement, but apparently Woods was too busy thinking up nasty names for Tea Party people to look into actual news to report. I will never understand why people like Woods think that wanting a reduction in spending (Lamar voted to raise debt ceiling, TARP, Cash for Clunkers, recent stimulus & ever spending bill Obama has presented Senate) makes Tea Party monsters with no "grip on reality" He seems to feel sorry for Lamar not getting the high praise that comes with decades of being in office, but it is Lamar's votes & dishonest dealings (read Ireland's Politics for Profit: The Rich Rise of Lamar Alexander) that has brought us all to this point. I would love to have a GOP Senator in office I could support, but immigration bill, war in Syria, refusing to defund Obamacare, War on Coal, voting for Planned Parenthood judges, breaking filibuster on gun control bill, spending money like drunken sailor, and the wacko idea that state should take 3 month old children from parents for 12 hours a day are more than any person in the GOP should be required to take. This was an awful article with the only correct assertion being that the conservatives of Tennessee are zeroed in on taking Alexander out in the primary. I will aid that effort anyway I can!
