Dzhokhar looked like a normal kid on the cover. That made people uncomfortable- that normal people (which by all of his friends' accounts, he was) are capable of horrible acts. It's important for us as a society to understand this truth, whether or not we like it. Why not humanize a terrorist? He is, after all, human. And the byline on the cover stated he became a monster. Don't we learn more by exploring this dichotomy than by jamming our fingers in our ears, closing our eyes, and pretending he isn't like us at all?
