LOVE CANAL, THIS SOUNDS JUST LIKE THE SCUMBERLAND RIVER, TWO-STEP
I AM GLAD I DO NOT LIVE IN ASHLAND CITY OR CLARKSVILLE .... LOOK OUT ITS COMING AT YA PEOPLE DOWN STREAN.
ITS O.K. SAYS NASHVILLE CLEAN WATER DIRECTOR ....... TRUST US !!!!!
WE REALLY NEED MORE LANDFILLS IN DOWNTOWN NASHVILLE LIKE THIS ONE.
WHO NEEDS METRO COUNCIL TO APPROVE THIS LANDFILL !!!! WE MAKE THE RULES FOR YOU TO FOLLOW..... NOT US.
Hello people, WAKE UP we are talking about 9,000 tons of PCB Coated materials here. Yes 9,000 tons.
The EPA did not give approval for the on-site disposal of anything. You are being handed a load of CRAP
Southern Services Landfill is not even suitable to take this material, CALL AND ASK THEM, THEY ARE A C&D LANDFILL, NOT A CLASS ONE, WHICH IS WHERE THIS NEEDS TO GO
Well, Well, It seems that our Metro Government is above the laws they create for us. Yes I did say US. Seems that Ken Jakes is trying to let the people of Davidson County know whats going on.
WE NEED TO STOP THIS NOW!!!! The next thing will be a municipal landfill in our back yards, but thats O.K. TRUST US
Codes and the people who run it need to be FIRED and the Metro Council needs to STEP-UP AND DO THEIR JOBS
Hello ERICA GILMORE........ WHERE ARE YOU WHEN THE PEOPLE NEED YOU ... SLEEPING ON THE JOB.
No people, you do not get it.Mr Jakes is trying to keep our community clean. Now, Byron Hall with codes and his Imperial leader Terry Cobb do not have to follow laws put in place by our Metro Council, they are the law. Can you imagine what these two can accomplish with AL Majors at TDEC on board with them along with Mayor Green. If we allow our Metro Government to Bury Special Waste and call it just Concrete and Brick. when we know that over 9000 tons of this material containing PCB's and everything else is being buried. We may as well fire codes and just demo and bury what ever we want to where ever we want to. SURELY CODES WOULD NOT CITE A PRIVATE CONTRACTOR OR CITIZEN FOR ILLEGAL DISPOSAL. NAW!!!
Camden, we feel Ya. Here in Nashville TDEC is allowing Metro Water to create a Class 1 landfill and bury Special Waste and all this just because TDEC says burying PCB, Arsenic, Cadmium and othe RCRA Metals is ok for them. Our field office Director AL MAJORS is just another sleeper with the state that does nothing but drink coffee and feed people bull shit. No wait a minute!!! He also does special favors for the big wigs. Most of TDEC's people do their jobs around here, If AL MAJORS says its O.K., But he certainly censors what leaves his offic. Trust me I have documents that reveal just that.
The testing done at the site was a TCLP which is used to detrmine how much leaching will take place in a LANDFILL not an unlined dump with a concrete vault that has over 40 penetrations and sets 18 feet below the water table. HELLO PEOPLE do you realize that these materials are SPECIAL WASTE requiring class 1 landfill disposal. Try to take any of this to Southern Services our local C&D Landfill and you will be turned away. So I have an Idea, Lets bury it by the river and tell people what we want them to know and let Ashland City worry about clean water. Our Mayor needs the money to build a green rather than pay to haul-off their Special Waste. yeah! Hashville Tell everyone we are going GREE. wHAT A crok
of crap. WE NEED TO FOLLOW THE CODE--ALL OF US --- Not just a select few. Does Ron Taylor get a bonus for doing good work. Sure, we pay it.
