Re: “Mac Gayden Book Signing at Howlin' Books Dec. 7

Mac was in the first Southern Rock group called Area Code 615 and Barefoot Jerry, they were introduced at the Filmore in California by Linda Ronstadt, with Country Joe and Jerry Garcia in the audience.
He played with JJ Cale, Bob Dylan, John Hiatt, and more. Known for his slide wah guitar style.

Re: “Best Local Rock Songs Ever, Part 14 [Rob Galbraith, Tony Joe White, Larry Jon Wilson, Mac Gayden, Billy Swan]

This song was produced by Bob Dylan's producer (Bob Johnston) after Mac played on Blonde on Blonde with him on an album called McGavock Gayden on EMI--The producer basically locked Mac in the studio for a month, Mac played everything but drums on this album, and it was said by Johnston to be one of the Beatles favorite albums.
