Well ok i have heard So much about Tooties orchid Lounge and all the stars who wrote song there the tom t hall the kris the bobby bare the willie nelson and yea rodger miller.well my name is lee i am an orchid lounger! i played drums there from 1980 to 1996. with del gray brooks yerkey (MY FATHER)and red stacey.Im so tired of reading about all the stars who use to come in every now and then...We was the ones to help keeping tooties a float..yes i agree with steve about the leaks in the roofs and the beer,But he dont know as much as he thinks he does...i met tooties just before cancer took her from us, and she was a great lady,we was and still are a family at tooties in our hearts but lets talk about the people that no one ever talks about..DEL GRAY..the uncle rick lazar,lavon duboise,mary williams,wanda loman,when i played there yes there was a adult peep show there,it was called ellwest,and another one was called the wheel right a cross the street..as far as ladies of the evening i never seen any of them which im sure they were .i went down to TOOTIES ORCHID LOUNGE about around 2009.and was shocked ,it wasnt anything about country music..i mean come on Kid Rock...i rememmber christy hines coming into tooties do you all know her? i seen and talk too bobby bare johnny rodrigues SORRY IF MISSPELLED)harland howard that where me met my friend jackson leap.songwriter.The heart of tooties is gone.as are most of us are Brooks Yerkey passed away , red stacey,passed away.mary williams gone , wanda lowman gone..rick lazar gone, all im saying is STEVE give credit to some of us who use to keep the tradition alive there,If a reporter wants the real story ,i have it!! and please all dont believe Everything You Hear!!!!ty.
