Good job pushing your agenda and failing to even mention that various workers have filed unfair labor practice charges with the NLRB concerning claims of illegal coercion and intimidation by VW AND the UAW. That certainly isn't relevant to a discussion about possible unionization. No, not relevant at all.
i had the 18" weber kettle, a large bge, a 22.5" wsm smoker and a modded el cheapo brinkmann smoker. then i moved and only kept the bge and wsm.
1. i would say the bge is my favorite grill. it does it all and it does it well.
2. as simple as it sounds, i think i would say i love grilling burgers more than anything. i tend to do steaks indoors. as for marinades, the sabra roasted garlic veggie dip is a great marinade for chicken kabobs.
3. i tend to keep it simple.
4. not applicable
5. absolutely love it (see 1 above). i use it for grilling, smoking and as a pizza oven. it's definitely less fussy than my kettle ever was and more importantly, it's more efficient. it really does a great job at holding temp. i would recommend that someone get the plate setter and an electric igniter of some sort - either the bge one or the $$$ looftlighter. while i love my bge, i will be keeping my wsm for its sheer volume advantage until i can pony up for a stump's stretch, lang/gator pit or diamond plate pit fat 50.
ps. more thoughts on other outdoor cooking toys...
i am tempted to pick up a used weber kettle off of cl in order to get a pizza kettle. the modded versions covered on serious eats makes it look like a solid, low-cost option for a unitasker pizza oven. you can check it out here if you haven't seen it: http://slice.seriouseats.com/archives/2012…
pps. does anyone here have or use charbroil's big easy? used mine recently for a turkey and i have to say it was a lot safer than the traditional turkey fryer (but more limited in other uses).
fyi, you shouldn't have had the diet pepsi. the carbonation makes the heat worse.
