Re: “Marsha Blackburn Waxes Nostalgic about When She Made Twice the Minimum Wage”
I work at a small business restaurant where we get paid $8-10 hourly plus a shared tip ,which ranges from 40-100 pp. She, the owner, also offers a health insurance package. The employee turnover rate is tiny, with most employees working there since she opened 5 years ago. Is she rolling in the dough? No, but she owns a successful business with reliable, happy, tax paying employees. If she is able to make it paying far above server minimum wage, it is a joke to think multimillion dollar fast food companies can't pay a higher minimum wage.
