I own the place, so I may be biased, but I'd say the food IS much better than the chalk writing. You caught us on the equivalent of a bad chalkboard hair day. Come by sometime and I will break out the old photo album of that menu board in it's glory days. And we might even have a little lunch favorites sampling ready for you.
