I was there at lunch a couple of weeks ago. At 12:15, I was the only patron. I ordered the Sheperds pie. It was ghastly. I would not feed such a mess to pigs. The pastry crust(whose idea was that?) was burned as were some of the contents in the iron skillet that it was presented in.
Maybe they have a better bar scene at night. Gastro pub? who was the idiot that came up with that. Definately out of place in white bread Bellevue.
I had lunch there two weeks ago. I was the only person in the pub. I ordered the sheperd's pie.
It was delivered in an iron skillet. Mashed potatoes, ground meat and parsnips were thrown together in the pan and covered with a pastry top. The pastry was burned black on the edges and some of the filling was also burned.
Disgusting! I see why they did not have any patrons at this lunch hour.
Re: “'Gastropub' Called {Pub}licity Opening Soon in Bellevue”
Do not order the sheperds pie. It is a miserable tasteless go of mashed potatoes and peas in an iron skillet topped with a pastry crust. It was served with the crust and filling burnt. At 12:15 on A thursday, I was the only customer in the whole place.
The server had never heard of bubble and squeak, bangers and mash, or scotch egg. Some pub. Gastro sounds like some kind of stomach ailment.
