We who work with farmers and live in Bolivia and work with Peruvians, Ecuadoreans and Bolivians know that:
1- consumption in these countries has increased, not decreased in spite of higher prices
2- the farmers (the poorest in the country) still eat the equivalent of 3 servings of quinoa per day, a little less than before, but that's because they can afford to add some variety to their diets.
