Re: “As the Metro school board decides whether to sue the state, two new members undergo a baptism by fire”
Kudos to both Frogge and Pinkston. Advice to tread carefully if you are truly not well versed on the history of corporate reform and privatization movement. I live in Louisiana and advocate for public schools under incredible influence from outside money and politics who are blasting forward with charters, vouchers, de- professionalism of teachers, etc. Legislation has opened to doors to privatization and the appointment (by our Governor) of TFA South operative John White as Superintendent. He continues to hire and pay big bucks to non-educators/TFA buds. Keep you eyes on the prize - public education that serves the needs if every child administered by highly qualified professional teachers. www.saveourschoolsmarch.org
