Re: “State Court of Appeals Takes Up Voter ID

Actually, just to show I'm not partisan, I thought I'd put this note in as well. When I vote on 11/6 (I wait till all the lies have been told before i check the box), I will vote against Obama, Cooper (democrats) and I just wish that Lamar Alexander was up this year instead of Corker. I'd vote against Lamar and he's Republican. RINO branch.

Re: “State Court of Appeals Takes Up Voter ID

Today I was forced to show a state-issued photo ID to get a refund at Best Buy. I asked what would have happened if I didn't have one. The clerk said I couldn't get a refund. I didn't have my receipt, you see.
In order to get my VA disability benefits, I had to get a Federally issued photo ID. They have my fingerprints. However, they can't use fingerprints at point of service.
In order to get a BANK ACCOUNT, CASH A CHECK, GET AN APARTMENT or most other transactions folks go through in life, they need a photo ID. Motor Voter made it simple to register to vote. GET A LICENSE and you can register at the same time.
What we'll do by NOT requiring a photo ID is ENFRANCHISE folks that are not citizens. You get to vote if you forget your ID, provisionally. Even if you don't have one by 11/6, if you get one in the two weeks following you can validate your provisional ballot.
I'm tired of politically correct and Jim Cooper. Voter ID isn't politically correct and it may damned well get rid of the Coop.
