Re: “96-year-old Woman Who Voted During Jim Crow Is Denied Photo ID

I went to renew my drivers license when I turned 60. I took everything thing I thought I needed, including my birth certificate, passed the eye exam. When I got to the end, they wanted to know how my name went from Dillon to Rader, and I said, I got married. Then they wanted to see my marriage license. I had to come back the next day, after I went to the courthouse and paid for a copy of my marriage license, to prove how my name changed. So, I don't think they were singling her out, it's the law, and everyone should have to obey it, regardless of age.
