I lived 5 blocks from two boots in the east village for about 4 years and I can promise you they do not nuke their pizza.
what do presidents obama and clinton, newark mayor cory booker, la mayor antonio villaigrosa, chicago mayor rahm emanuel and countless other upstanding public officials have in common with michelle rhee? their support for charter schools and for reform of the public education system. undermining her credibility for associations that the student first organization has or by the fact that she wasn't truthful about where her kids go to school are just that - things that negatively portray rhee as an individual. however, the entire topic of whether we do enough across this country in our local public school systems to fully serve all of our students as we progress deeper into the global information age - that is something else altogether.
two small points: if sarah charges $13 a bowl and consistently sells out her pop up dinners, I think that goes to prove that she's in the right ballpark for setting a price appropriate to here. second, while i've never had the pleasure of having her ramen, i have had plenty of great ramen living in NYC and SF. would I pay $13 to re-experience something that would cost me a $300 plane fare and two days off work to otherwise get? sure, why not.
