Locking people up as a "business venture" stinks to high heaven. I don't smoke pot because I just don't like the stuff, but see a serious profit motive for CCA in criminalizing it as they also destroy many young peoples' lives over it. That's just one example of stupid laws being used not only for ruthless profiteering but to criminalize as many people as possible. A society where as many people as possible have lost their various rights as citizens is easier to "rule".
