The officers didn't choke Minick, but they did apply a "hypoglossal maneuver." That sounds interesting so I searched for it on google. I can't find a single law enforcement site describing this maneuver. However I do know where the hypoglossal nerve runs (in the throat below the angle of the jaw, on both sides). Does the "hypoglossal maneuver" involve squeezing the throat pretty hard?
