Re: “Rebel Rep. Julia Hurley's Greatest Hits (Or: The Liberal Long Con)”
I ask the question too. War on women? Look, I worked hard for Julia during her campaign. I spent many hours knocking on doors, putting up signs (and replacing or repairing them after a storm). I know her politically as good as anyone and better than most. I was one of the few people who was confident that she could beat Dennis Ferguson. I would be a rich man if I had taken all those bets. Here is a woman that was degraded by the local Tea Party when she was running. Now she is their golden girl. She is a puppet in Nashville; something she told me that she would never be. She is not what we need for the 32nd district. Take away the fact that she has no respect for the people who enforce the laws that she was sent to Nashville to help make and pass. Take away the fact that she thinks her "status" should exempt her from everything. The fact is, she is an ineffective Representative. She now wants to be a career politician. And, she actually thinks she will be. I am a Republican, not a Tea Party member. (I have my own thoughts on that bunch.) No, this is not a war on a woman. It is a the battle that will correct a mistake.
