Well, perhaps they do not claim to be much better. They don't wish to dictate political policy based on religious views, a strategy clearly violating the constitution. Perhaps they do not condemn people based on facts of birth and sexual identity, or for exercising their religious freedom in a non intrusive manner. Perhaps they realize that this country was founded by virtue of diversity; ethnic, religious, and socially. Perhaps they are the antithesis to you!
BTW: Nice story, try using it as a personal model for YOUR ethics!

As statee before, the SBC is out to crush any and all opposition to it's dogmatic (non)reality in true Nixonian mode! Perhaps the will promote their own version of little brown shirt warriors (RA's ?)for a Theocratic Plutocracy where freedom and civil rights exist ONLY for them and other WASP cadres of exclusionary social engineering.
