I took that picture. It was tweeted by a friend. I also walked by it the next day, and it wasn't "corrected," it was changed to something totally different after the 17th when the event happened. So my question is why would the MNPS spokesperson make something up about what happened -- just own up to the fact that the sign was wrong and is embarrassing. Saying that its anything less is ignoring the obvious. The fact that MNPS seems unable to admit any fault, either with the sign or what councilwoman Evans pointed to suggests that they've adopted a defensive attitude that will never lead to any meaningful progress in the district.
