Their Exit/In show this past weekend was quite possibly Nashville's best live show of 2012. Absolutely phenomenal band. With Duane and Patton involved, it was always guaranteed to be golden.
Buzz & the Melvins are as real as it gets. No bullshit; all honest music from the soul - from the balls. They embody rock and energy and heart and passion. Any true fan of music, art and human expression can surely appreciate them. Dunno, but me, I'm a fan for life. Fucking worship these guys. The Melvins are rock gods, and as Buzz would say, 'That's it.'
Funny you mention Electric Hearts and Oh No No (!) blurring together. Those two - along with Ravello - stuck out among the pack, offering fun (EH) to energetically fun (ONN) music and stage shows, whereas Fly Golden Eagle just blended into the background for me with a monotonous blur of ambient noise and a tired stage presence. Granted, the latter's type of music serves a purpose, but it's far from interesting. Could it be that Nashville really is just full of people who have crawled so far out onto the music snobbery branch that they can't see the forest for the trees? I think so.
Another boring band wins another Nashville music battle. Pity.
Big ups to Oh No No!
