@Donna Locke: What is your point? Finding a scientific explanation for something does not make it desirable, acceptable, or moral for either individuals or society. For example, science has found marked brain differences in serial killers and mass murderers, but most of us would not argue, that while they may have been born with certain hormonal or genetic influences, those differences are good for them or society as a whole. My intention is not to compare homosexuality with serial killings and mass murders, but only to point put that hormonal or genetic influences are amoral, and can have either good or bad consequences for the individual and society. So, if it turns out that sexual preference has a hormonal or genetic origin, that does not mean that homosexuals or a hetereosexual society will benefit from those sexual preferences.
