Re: “Occupy Nashville to Governor: 'We Are Not Looking for Trouble'”
I am marching on DC this weekend. I am leaving Saturday morning on a 350 bus with a group of dedicated citizens to stop the Keystone Pipeline XL. We stand in solidarity with the indigenous people whose land is being raped, and all people living above and depending on the Ogallala Aquifer who know how destructive the extraction of oil from the shale is and the fact that all pipelines leak. They always leak. The caustic and toxic nature of this shale oil guarantees leakage and poisoning of the water source for millions of people and the maintenance of all life in the area. Call the White House and the Congress to pay attention to the people and to not kowtow to the wealthy oil cartel.
Just a note to Keepitreal, if you were paying attention you would see that the Occupy folks are protesting at the corporate headquarters. Even in little Columbia, TN there is a demonstration against Band of America and other big banks who continue to rip off Main Street. It is up to us to give the 2big2fail the pink slip and build our own free and fair system based on work and mutual respect.
