I've been thinking more about things that come out black and yellow versus some novelty. That way it's easier, and not repulsive. Obviously pumpkin, carrots, sweet potatoes, and orange bellpeppers are solid orange ingredients, but smoked salmon is my favorite choice this year. I think I'm going to be making an app: slices of pumpernickel bread (black), lightly spread with cream cheese, topped with smoked salmon.
I was also thinking that black spaghetti creates a lot of possibilities, unfortunately I can't seem to find it anywhere around.
