Special props to Hot Diggity for their veggie dog. Get a charred veggie dog, Chicago, with hot giardiniera - you won't miss the meat. Definitely one of my favorite places in Nashvegas. And The Dude is right - they are great people to boot!
Ate at Hog and Hominy this past weekend. It's really excellent. One of the chefs described it as, "Food we like to eat when we're done with work." Good cocktails too.
Jeremy should definitely be given some huge points for leading the charge regarding Nashville restaurants emphasizing the importance (and tastiness) of local, sustainable, "organic" ingredients more seriously. He wasn't the first (Deb, Margot, Will, etc.) to use local farms and he didn't invent farm-to-table, but he certainly helped to popularize it in Nashvegas. Good luck on the next chapter brother!
I gotta say the wife and I think that the whole rotisserie chicken (with rice, beans and tortillas) is the best food deal in town. Add a side of pickled jalapenos and some sliced avocado and you're still under $15 for a meal for two and some leftovers. Even with a couple of drinks, you won't be over $30.
FLYTE! We have our city lis. for pooches on the patio (yes, you now need a permit for this). This coming spring, we will be hosting our first Speed Dating for dogs. Prospective guardians will get a minute with each dog which we hope will lead to some love connections. Cause when you know, you know right?
