Just saw Frog and Toad. The cast is strong. There are 5 and each one gave a memorable performance comparable to what I see at TPAC at a much lower cost. The scenery is minimal, but who needs scenery when the acting is so good. There is a memorable scene, just before intermission where Frog and Toad gobble down chocolate chip cookies and end up tossing them to the audience. Hint: Don't sit in the first few rows if you want to catch a cookie. Frog and Toad is as much an adult play as a child-pleaser. The bass player and the electronic gizmo player are wonderful. Go see Frog and Toad. Disclaimer: I am not related to anyone in the cast.
After watching MNPS school board meeting of 4/12 (televised on 4/15), Rep. Stewart is voicing the concerns of many students, parents, teachers, graduates. It seems he's doing his job representing the people. I'd vote for him because he's sticking his neck out representing his constituents. I don't know what the situation at Hillsboro is, but from watching the MNPS board meeting, Bradshaw's transfer doesn't pass the smell test. One thing I learned from the MNPS Board meeting is that the MNPS Board cannot make recommendations or decisions on the hiring, transfer or dismissal of teachers. These decisions are made by the school principal who answers to the MNPS administration who seem to be appointed by the state. So what does the MNPS board do?
