Re: “Why Didn't Gov. Bill Haslam Stick Around to See the President?

Hell, Obama's own party doesn't want to be around when he shows up for fear of being associated with his incompetence.

Re: “Three Gun Incidents, Two Involving Minors, in Nashville Yesterday

More people were killed in plane crashes in Nashville yesterday than guns.
We need common sense laws protecting us against planes.

Re: “Tygard Files Legislation Aimed at Starting Discussion on Dedicated Funding for The Amp (Updated)

It would be fairly simple and relatively inexpensive to test the AMP by restriping, altering directions and barricading all or parts of the streets in question and retiming the traffic signals for 3 months to see what the impact of AMP on traffic would be. I expect it would be chaos, but a relatively inexpensive approach could yield some real world data.

Re: “Would We Be Better at a Direct Democracy?

"About $59 billion is spent on traditional social welfare programs. $92 billion is spent on corporate subsidies."
Of course this is standard liberal BS. The $92 billion is a figment of their imagination. The government doesn't SPEND a dime on "corporate subsidies". The $92 billion is the corporations' own money that these idiots think the government should TAKE via taxes. Of course, if they described what actually happens, liberals, most of which are too stupid to understand the difference would be irate because the truth was stated in plain English.
