Re: “Ladies, Make Your Man Happy! Sign Up for Vanderbilt's "Football 101 for Women" Clinic!

I don't know.... I'd take the class. I don't think it's sexist. I think every sport should have a "clinic" to help women (and some men) learn about it if they want to. Y'all are forgetting this is a voluntary class for women...it's not like it's a mandatory requirement prior to marriage or something.

Re: “The bizarre shooting of two lost dogs in Old Hickory Village leaves a neighborhood divided

I am bothered by the fact that they were scared to put them in the car to take them to a place that would have scanned them, but weren't scared to take them to a friends house for target practice. How sick can a person be to feed and shelter 2 dogs for a week and then kill them. It was INHUMANE!! Inhumane because they did absolutely NOTHING to find the owners. Post an ad on craigslist, fliers in the neighborhood, vet or shelter to be scanned, walk them around and see if they sniff out their home, other lost pet websites, sumbit the animals information at the local shelter right by the front door in a folder, and so many more ways to find their home. If they didn't do anything wrong, why will they not allow the owners to have their bodies so they can bury them at home? Why will they not tell the police where? Something about what they did was illegal, and they are scared for what will happen to themselves. If a dog has collars, with or without tags, I would have them scanned. That is a sign that they are owned, loved, and being missed!! They WERE NOT in that bad of shape as some people have said.. They are just defending their friends. These innocent animals were wrongly executed. I hope that justice is served, and I hope they have to pay, although there is no price you can put on 11 years of devoted companionship. Animals become your family members, they are living breathing creatures just like humans, and deserve to be treated better than these people have treated Chocolate and Magoo!!!

Re: “The bizarre shooting of two lost dogs in Old Hickory Village leaves a neighborhood divided

collars and tags are great, but, microchips are a definite way to locate the owners. My dogs lose their collars and tags all the time. I have not found one yet that will stay on them as they romp my back yard.
The Mohr's should have posted a "found dog" ad on craigslist or contacted animal control. They "kept" the dogs at their house for a week, feeding them and providing shelter. What kind of person does that then decides that its best to shoot them? And they supposedly have pets of their own!
Also... why wouldn't you give their remains to the owner? Unless you have something to hide !!!!!!

Re: “The bizarre shooting of two lost dogs in Old Hickory Village leaves a neighborhood divided

TNJED..... Thank you for that !! Nothing truer has ever been spoken. Our pets are more than pets, they are family members, faithful companions, and moreso they are living, breathing, beings that do not deserve to be "executed" at the hands of ignorance. Especially in this day and age where there are so many more options out there.
Heck.... they didn't even put up a "found" dog posting on craigslist. All I can say is my prayers are with Amy Moore, she is stronger than I, for if it was one of MY dogs....I may have become and executioner too !!! just saying.
