And technically the Metallica "Live at Grimeys" album was recorded at the Basement. Who cares? If you pick up some preloved tunes, do you make sure to differentiate and tell your friends "I got a sweet record at Grimeys Too"??? Probably not. Let's face it, "Live at Grimeys" sounds a lot cooler than "Live at The Basement" or "Live at Grimeys satellite location just down the street from their regular store."
BOTR reference for the win!
Weird... that last comment was supposed to be on Tracy's post. Stupid wonky mobile site.
Maybe he's more of a turd sanwich than a giant douche.
Ps - the grammar in this thread makes my head hurt.
I think you're overestimating the reach of that tribute album (and I say this owning the thing). Cale might have crafted the arrangement that most people know and subsequently cover, but if you asked ten random people on the street, I bet eight of them would say its a Jeff Buckley song. I remember seeing one of the DC Talk guys cover it at Summer Lights and introducing it as a Buckley song, and wanting to throw something at him because he should have known better.
I would have paid any amount of money to have seen this assignment go to Gold.
