Re: “The Girl Who Kicked the Hornets’ Nest really stepped in something else”
I totally agree with JaneS. The reviewer apparently felt it was his role to make snide, sarcastic comments rather than to give a thoughtful review. I've read all three books in the Millenium Trilogy and have now seen all three movies. I'm careful who I recommend them to because they're not for everybody. The intensity and convoluted plot, as well as the subtitles in the movies will turn off some folks. I also felt a little sympathetic toward members of the audience at the third movie, "The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest," who hadn't seen the first two. This movie is a sequel and is difficult to understand if you haven't seen the first two. But for those of us who HAVE seen all three, in sequence, we've seen a three-part masterpiece. I'm really apprehensive about how American movie-makers will handle it, but I'm enthusiastic about how wonderful I believe these originals to be.
