nerdist.... i like pi..
Soundland would be ok if it was better organized but last years shut out to shows to VIP's and other venue / talent issues I can see why no one would go back. Last years clusterf' probably killed it. I know it did for me unfortunately.
foul disgusting practice is more like it.. these are the people that SHOULDN'T have kids....
I'll agree to disagree.. :) Agreed it's a great idea, i just think it needs to grow up more before i'll support it. I'll just spend the time driving to the individual hot chicken places to enjoy it. I guarantee the experience will be a lot more enjoyable and faster.
Love the headline Pinky! I just wish the hot chicken festival was as good. Like the other poster said, skip the fest and go to the real eats, you'll get the real deal (and not just fingers) and you won't have to wait nearly as long in the sweltering heat to enjoy your hot chicken. The promoters and planners need some experience with organization, timing and planning. It's a sweaty mess. Regardless I'm already excited thinking about 30 days of red hot cock!
To also be fair Carney is a bit of a d-bag as well.
Sometimes i wonder if Kay enjoys belittling people in general. Just another pseudo intellectual that thinks her opinion matters. It's also nice you went on a tirade about how much you hate the olive garden and how you are WAY too good to even review it.. even when it's your job... Snobbery for the win! Nice to see you back Kay... (if you didn't get that it was sarcasm)
My start of soundland this year made me think these people had no idea how to handle a festival like this. Several people with "VIP" badges got shut out of Ghostland Observatory and Bonobo while people with regular tickets could mosey on in. This is a quote on their site about VIP wristbands: The VIP Badge is your all-access pass to – well – every single event during the four days and nights that is SoundLand. This in itself is false advertising and the people that paid 150$ to enjoy the parties and the music got shut out of the most important part. The music. This was truly and amateurish move on the promotors part. This was my first VIP pass ever to a festival, which made me super excited. Now all i can think of is what else will i get shut out of because i didn't buy a single show pass.
