Re: “Jim Cooper and Dick Durbin blast Tennessee's new voter ID laws, brought to you by Bill Ketron and the Koch brothers

The requirement to have a photo ID in order to identify yourself compares to a form of poll tax. Right!

If you liberals don't start to be more sensible, I'm afraid the people of Tennessee will simply have to deprive you of one of the remaining two seats you have left in Congress. I hope that doesn't happen because I've always felt that a 9 to 2 conservative to liberal ratio was about right.

Re: “Forrester Should Go Down With Democratic Ship, Cheek Says

"Wall the cities." What a good idea to keep liberals from spreading the pathology from which they are suffering from spreading to the rest of the country. Pick who you will to be captain of the row boat that now is the Democrat Party of Tennessee. Their are very few liberals in this state and now there are very few members of the liberal party in elective office in this state.

Re: “Democratic Underground: Election Integrity? What Election Integrity?

I am far more concerned with reform of Tennessee's election system governing WHO votes and the results of those votes than "in the weeds" nitpicking about the mechanics of voting/counting ballots.

We simply should adopt a requirement that a photo ID is required to identify voters every time they vote. We need CLOSED PRIMARIES that are open only to those who register as a member of a party 30 days before an election so eliminate the mischief making that takes place when those who are not members of a party vote in primaries. Finally we need RUNOFF elections to make sure candidates and office holders are chosen by a majority of the voters.
