Re: “Ron Ramsey Will Introduce Guns-in-Campus-Lots Legislation

If we were all to be responsible and respectful, and never broke the law, CCA would lobby this state legislature to make responsibility and respectfulness illegal.

Re: “Paul Ryan's Woman Problem

"That's something out of some kind of communist dystopia — not allowing people to have children when they want to. And it's something that's bound to make people of all political stripes very nervous."

Why should this make anyone nervous? Controlling the human population would be the best way to reduce our impact on the planet, preserve our resources and prevent suffering. Every effort we have to make the world a better place would be made easier with fewer people.

Re: “Columbia Man to Cops: Beer Me

I'm from Tennessee, but it pisses me off how people around here say "Lafayette," too. I know the correct way to pronounce a location is the way the people of that location pronounce it, but pronouncing "Maury" as "Murray" is ridiculous. People near Jacinto, Miss., pronounce it "J-Center," but that shouldn't make it right.

Re: “Columbia Man to Cops: Beer Me

The news should be that the residents of "Maury" county don't know how to pronounce where they live.

Re: “Metro Loses Employment Case Appeal in 6th Circuit

A better question than what he said on his application would be why was he filling out an application in the first place? If you leave for deployment with the Army Reserve or National Guard, your employer is supposed keep your job open for when you return. Unless "left his post" means "quit to go to war," which doesn't make any sense.

Also, how would one lie *to* Metro Police on their discharge papers *from* the U.S. Army?

Re: “NYT: 'ObamaCare' Could Cost Tennessee $716 Million

Yes, poor, uninsured folk, you should definitely vote for the party that promises to keep you from getting insurance.
