Re: “The Road, No. 8: Ephesus Bakery and Cafe [Eating Our Way Down Nolensville]

Sean, I think I am enjoying your column almost as much as you're enjoying the food. This is great writing, and it is useful. Great work!

I cannot wait to check this place out. Sounds like a great addition to the neighborhood!

Re: “Food Truck Alert! Philly Cheesesteaks Today at MetroCenter

They are on twitter, @LOLFOODS. However, they do protect their tweets. I would recommend changing that so anyone can see their twitter feed.

Re: “Food Truck Alert! Philly Cheesesteaks Today at MetroCenter

Shannon, my wait was only about 5 minutes, max. I was there a few minutes before noon, and Jennifer cautioned me that it might take a while because they were still prepping. LOL @ LOL! It was lightning fast! A guy ordered a few minutes later; sandwich was in hand in about two minutes. Maybe the wait increases if you order with a crowd. But I was one of the first today and they served up a killer sandwich very quickly.

Re: “FALL GUIDE: CLASSICAL & OPERA

Hello StringMaiden. I am a relatively new ALIAS board member, a Nashville native, and also a longtime ALIAS fan. I have watched these talented people treat audiences to stunning performances since their early days while receiving zero compensation for their efforts. One thing I absolutely love about ALIAS is that they feature the works of local classical composers, including ALIAS members, who are encouraged to write and premiere their own works. ALIAS member Matt Walker Chris Norton and Chris Farrell have all premiered and performed pieces before ALIAS audiences.

The group's repertoire includes works by well-known locals Edgar Meyer and Sean Watkins. The group is indelibly tied in many ways to the local community through performance, community outreach and through donations of all concert proceeds to local charities. I appreciate your feedback, and I would like to invite you to the ALIAS performance on Oct. 1. The Hilos piece isn't the only thing you will hear. A full season schedule is available on our Web site, http://www.aliasmusic.org. Please consider coming out to the show. I think you will find it to be an enjoyable and unique Nashville music experience, unlike anything you might expect.
