this sentence from from the incubus review, wow: "it's got a phat-chunk bass beat twanging fast in back"
@Patrick and Lance: I guess what I envision is more along the lines of a total takeover of the honkey tonks and lower broad. Like block the street, every possible venue has rock and roll etc. For this to work, I think you'd have to have the MAJORITY of shows happen there, not just a scattered few. I could see why this wouldn't fly w/ Mercy, Exit/In etc, but I still think having centralized shows is the missing link.
I think NBN should take over lower Broadway and host showcases at all the honkey tonks etc in that area. It feels like the organizers are going for more of a SXSW type festival, and to do that you need a centralized location where folks can stagger door to door and check out bands. Yes, they have the shuttles and yes there is the rock block, but I think it would be much more appealing to be able to hit a dozen venues within walking distance. There's many more things to be discussed but that's my 2 cents.
lol@ forced horseplay! or is it horsed foreplay?
So is the 12" unplayable after you crack it open? If so that seems pointless.
Re: “Pitchfork Reviews KORT and Jessica Lea Mayfield Today”
this sentence from the incubus review just blew my mind a little bit:
"it's got a phat-chunk bass beat twanging fast in back."
