I raise a glass of sweet tea to you. I did drink socially, but have lost interest in the activity. I have other things to do and other ways to spend my money. You explained it well.
Here's another thought. What do you do in the event of divorce? I faced that this year and decided to keep the married name. For the kid. It was really important to my child that we have connection with the last name. I pooled some of my divorced friends and that seemed to be the case with them as well.

I'm guessing the TN Department of Health wouldn't approve of me bringing a pumpkin to work decorated like Cookie Monster and the accompanying cookies that I baked with my hard-earned money that I wanted to share with my co-workers. It's only 11:45 and they are all gone. Yeah, they didn't want to eat that shit. (I did make "do do" cookies.)
