I had a delicious vegetarian meatloaf from Jamaicaway, and I'd love to figure out how to recreate it. And my carnivorous husband loves real meatloaf, so if I could make something similar yet delicious--I think he would appreciate it as well!
I've always found it interesting that people see vegetarians as picky. I don't eat meat, but I'll eat just about anything else, which makes me one of the least picky people I know. When I was dating and it came time to have the first dinner with the guy's family, they would inevitably be stymied by what in the world they were supposed to cook for a vegetarian. I try never to make a big deal out of my vegetarian-ness when I eat at other people's homes...I can happily make a meal out of side dishes, or nosh on a tomato/coleslaw/cheese sandwich at cookouts.
I could be mistaken, but I believe I have seen Andy behind the counter at Bongo East. Hubs visited Barista Parlor yesterday and said that his cup of coffee was delicious. Can't wait to try it myself.
The name of the new place next to Dino's is called No. 308--they have a placeholder website at this point: http://www.bar308.com/
