Re: “A Brief Internet Primer for Teddy Bart”

"Breitbart and Fox got in trouble because they treated a bloggers' scurrilously edited video as if it had been vetted according to journalistic standards."
Just because you believe that does not make it true. If you did not view the Breitbart video you should, because, as Andy Freeman pointed out, Breitbart’s video included Sherrod’s statement that she realized that she was wrong to refuse to help the white farmer because of his race. She then transformed her discrimination from race to class.
Second, as has been endlessly pointed out, the Breitbart video did not air on Fox until after Sherrod had been fired. Team Obama was afraid that she would be featured on Glenn Beck’s show so they fired her before he aired. It turns out he did not comment on her that day and defended her the next day. Is that an inconvenient truth?
This may be a good time to point out that if you get all your facts from the alphabet networks, the NY Times and the Washington Post, plus your membership in Journolist, you may be missing a lot of things that are happening, learning a lot of things that are not true, or – as in the case of Media Matters – taken out of context.
