I love my kids (and I'm days away from delivering number five; my oldest is 6.5 years old), and I love being their full time mother.
That being said: You bet I get burned out! (Maybe browned out is a better term?) But that's okay, really. Even at my very-favorite, pre-momma job (teaching geology at the local college), there were times I got tired of the job, or at least parts of it. That's part of life! And mothering is such an intense job, especially when your babies are little, that it would be weird if you didn't get a little burned out at times.
We (mothers) need to give ourselves and everyone else a break sometimes. It's okay to be human. I'm glad you were willing to write about it.
