Hoping to spread the good word of gastronomy and wine to the masses....without entitlement or snobbery.
I'd much rather take that 95 bucks and spend it on Sean Brock's dinner at City House.
It was indeed Pizza Real and yes, their pizza is mediocre to boot, along with ridiculously overpriced.
Hangar One Chipotle is by far the best one I've come across for Bloody Marys. http://www.hangarone.com/main.html
By far my favorite varietal. One that I've tried recently that was just astounding was the 2008 Camino de Navaherreros out of Spain, from the Vinos de Madrid D.O. Great buy for 15 bucks as well.
I agree with yam and Maloney. The fact that a city like Nashville with all of it's abundance of local agriculture and resources lacks a butcher shop is nothing less than blasphemy.
@Shannon, being an East Nashvillian, this is a tight knit community. We support our local businesses and eateries to the fullest. I think sometimes that fervor and proverbial chip on the shoulder sometimes get carried away and things get pushed above and beyond their clout. Case in point, Far East Nashville. I live a block away on Boscobel and drive 20 mins to Charlotte to Kien Giang. Why? It's better. True, we've got Marche and Margot and Woodland Wine Merchant, but I think people support location more than they do quality sometimes.
@hungryhippo, if that were the case, then many places in East Nashville wouldn't win.
