I had so many great experiences at allium. The room was great, the staff were accomodating especially with my cocktails, and the food made for many stress free evenings. Chris and Jay are industry pros and I'm sure this wasn't an easy decision for them. I hope that some of my favorites like the citris avocado pasta and the roasted chicken make their way back, Lars loved the lentils and trout salad. Thanks for all the memories, look forward to celebrating when you open as g-town east.
Just went there last week, hadn't been there in a couple of years. Awesome.

Regarding kids in restaurants. My mom introduced the "going out bag" with my son. It contained toys, crayons, etc.. that could only be used when going out. That way it always felt "new." Vincent is now 15 and he has excellent manners when dining out at nice restaurants, in fact he is usually horrified at his parents behavior and asks us to keep it down.
I can attest that it took weeks to perfect Sean's vision on the lobster roll. We knew if he cared that much about his bun, that this attention to detail only meant awesome things were to come. The rest of the Provence crew get very angry if we go out for a visit and don't come back with a box of dogs for everyone to share.
