Was in a bar in Lexington a few weeks ago, saw an unopened bottle of Pappy Rye on the shelf. Had the guy make me a Manhattan using it, it literally made my nether parts tingle. Check came to $44 for that single drink. The bartender should have quietly mentioned the price before he made it, but I probably would have ordered it anyway. No regrets.
Jeff, good points about his duncery, and this new attempt to circumvent the law, but can you cool it about "hillbilly districts"? Lots of the state's problems are fueled by the rural-urban animosity, rise above it, buddy.
Yeah, when you are driving I-40 through Cumberland County and see the big Peavine Liquor Store billboard that says "MOONSHINE HEADQUARTERS" it takes some of the mystique out of it. "You could smell the whiskey burning..."
