"Pinch and pull - that, Monsignor, is how you remove a tick."
All these posts and not one mention of Brother Z's Wang Shack (1407 Dickerson Road)? Y'all really need to get out more. He's got a nice menu of sauces (try the mystery) including the trad buffalo flavors and a wicked lemon pepper, and always makes great conversation while you're waiting for them to fry up. If you need someone to ride shotgun, drop me a line...
And by book, I mean "Bouchon Bakery." Chris, I might even buy a copy of *your* book if that helps. ;)
At the risk of seeming gauche, I'm going to ask again: Is it possible to get a book signed by Keller if you're not attending the dinner? I bought a copy about a month ago for my daughter as a Christmas present and I sure would love to have him inscribe it for her...
So do you have to buy tickets to the dinner to get a book signed?
I was the FIRST customer through the door on Monday, arriving about 10:58. I quickly ordered and instagrammed a Black Betty, which went nicely with the medium rare patty melt that hit the bar a few minutes later. Since I live on Utah Ave, I expecting to be walking up and stumbling home on a regular basis. While I was there, we got into a discussion about local brews and it seems to me there was supposed to be some craft brewer opening up on the west side, but for the life of me I couldn't think of the name, which makes googling somewhat frustrating. Does this ring a bell with anyone?
Re: “The Weekly Open Thread: Who Has the Best Fries in Nashville?”
No love for waffle fries? M.L. Rose, I'm looking at you (and not Chik-no-gay.)
Bobbie's Belgians are good, so are the fries from just about any hot chicken place in town but I think you'd be hard pressed to beat good ol' McDonalds when they're straight out of the fryer and hot enough to burn your fingers a little bit.
