God, quit trying to be Wes Anderson. We already have one of those.
Also,I like to try to stay on topic and not engage in name calling, but saying it's a "strawman" argument because you don't know *exactly* how that teacher compared a woman who has had sex to a piece of used chewing gum is just assinine.
I think the solution to all this is helping people become comfortable with the idea that you can be sex positive without being promiscuous or depraved. I grew up Catholic and went to religious schools through 8th grade and somehow managed to emerge with a positive attitude towards sex, knowledge of how my body works and how to take care of it, and a healthy respect for my own "virtue". I entered a public high school and was shocked at the dangerous combination of ignorance and blase attitudes towards sex I found there. That was proof enough for me that if you don't teach your kids about sex, they're going to try to figure it out on their own, and they're probably going to get it "wrong". It *is* possible to impart good morals to your kids while still giving them the information they need to be healthy and safe, but if you think ignoring the topic and shortchanging them on information will get them to abstain, you are doing them a grave disservice.
Terrible review.
Mmmmmm... bacon construction.
Great piece. Yet another lesson that correlation does not equal causation. Seems like time and again money-- socioeconomic status-- turns out to be the "hidden" primary driving factor in any "social ill."
As a woman, my primary reason for going to bbq joints is to pick up men and eat salad.
Guilting the boyfriend out of going to the 5678's show without me.
