It's a tremendous production. Excellent direction by Mike Fernandez.
Ridley doesn't mention the other two actors - Beki Baker and Alicia Haymer - and they are both terrific, polished actresses.
“We’ve always known Jimmy was kind of an asshole,” Nashville Mayor Karl Dean said in a statement.
Good one, Nashville Scene. You had me going. :)
Three words I never, ever wanted to see together: Nashville. Kids. MTV.
David Compton is a Nashville treasure - a gifted artist who has brought humanity to characters in production after production over the years. He is universally admired in the theatre community for his talent and dedication to the craft, and for just being a great guy. Kudos to Corbin Green and the crew at Boiler Room Theatre for last night's benefit performance. David has given much to Nashville - this is the time to help take care of one of our own.
On behalf of the Blackbird family, we are thrilled to receive this recognition! Thanks to Brian Russell, Brent Maddox, and Amanda Card who lead an amazing cast.
Blackbird Theater's next play is the Edwardian-era romantic comedy MAN AND SUPERMAN by George Bernard Shaw! Jan 24-Feb 2. Visit http://blackbirdnashville.com for details.
Thanks, Nashville Scene!
Shelby is a terrific and talented young woman.
Thanks, Jim and Martin! RED has been one of our best-received shows. The audience response has been tremendous.
We close RED this weekend - final shows are Friday and Saturday night!
I saw a scene from this today, and it's going to be a special show. Chip Arnold and Barry Scott are terrific actors, as 99% of Nashville theatergoers already know. Blackbird Theater is supporting THE STAND - our night is Saturday, Sept 7 at Lipscomb University. We'd love to have YOU join us. TicketsNashville.com.
