Yes! I heard about these about a month ago and it's brilliant! No foamy head, no lines, no need to train staff the proper pour.
Oh no. I guess I should have used my groupon earlier. After I heard they were leaving, I was hoping they would just open in a different location with the same menu. I don't know if the new place would honor the groupon, but if is that much different from the original, I may just not bother and ask Groupon to refund it. Bummer, I snooze I lose I guess.
I have a pastry roller. It's a device with two different size mini rolling pin type things on the end. Great for rolling out small things very thin.
I tried out the new Local Taco in Brentwood on opening night with several friends last week. It was really good. Different atmosphere, more of a sit-down establishment with a larger menu with more variety. The food was really good. We ordered margaritas as we knew it would probably be quite a wait on the first night and with a group of about 8. There was a wait, but everyone was working very hard, even the owner was cleaning tables. But we unexpectedly got several (3!) additional free pitchers of margaritas to apologize for our wait. I think it was a very successful first night as it was packed. One person from our party wrote his review here: http://www.thomasruns.com/the-local-taco-b…
@hungryhippo Try Pie In The Sky or Mafiaozas. They both let the kids play with the pizza dough and have lots of options. Just be prepared to wait a LONG time for your food at Pie In The Sky.
@wls1119 Not everyone loves Mexican. I only eat it when forced to with others. *Most* everyone loves Mexican. Otherwise I'm staying out of the heated debate regarding which Mexican restaurant in town is good.
Their Mexican cinnamon chili chocolate with Olive & Sinclair chocolate is incredible! Lots of heat! I think it's my favorite yet!
Re: “Former Zola Space Becomes Mediterranean Chain Taziki's”
The new sign is up on West End. Mentioned it on Twitter and heard from someone who remembers it from Birmingham that it's really good. And that their Friday Special is the best. I really miss Zola, but I'm glad to see something else go in the space. And change out the sign so I don't get sad every time I see the old sign driving down West End.
