I can't believe it's been five years! Huge congrats to you, Chris. You're such a nice guy - it's no wonder you get the scoop you do! I probably don't tell you think enough but I'm a huge fan of your writing. Keep it up. Cheers to another five years, indeed!
Awesome post, Chris! The WFCs were an absolute blast. Our home cook competitors cooked their aprons off against professionals. They met Adam Richman, helped each other through long days, and danced in the streets when THREE ladies were named finalists. It was an affair to remember for sure.
Thanks for the shout out Lesley! Just A Pinch is a great place to find recipes - the recipe comments, the "family-tested-and-approved" stamp, and blue ribbon indicator which is reserved for outstanding recipes only, should help anyone sort through the clutter. In full disclosure I work for Just A Pinch, but also as a food blogger myself I do use it quite a bit for ideas! www.justapinch.com
I can't wait! And LOVE to see development on Gallatin Road. Kudos.
Giving away two free tickets to Taste of Nashville on my blog! Promo ends Thursday at noon. Check it out: www.LaAguacate.com
Got my ticket! Anybody else? What food bloggers are coming out?
In the span of about four minutes this afternoon, I saw a squirrel, rabbit, 83873 species of birds and a field mouse (!!) prowling around my garden. Then I watched the squirrel pick a green tomato and run off with it! It's been crazy this year. I've heard hanging fake rubber snakes from the lower branches will work for awhile, but you have to keep moving them around. I know it sounds crazy, but a master gardener friend of mine told me. I'm ready to try anything!
